I tend to watch often when I'm being pulled into an advertising scheme. It's something as a marketer, I'm sure that we're all aware of. I really do love when it works, and I find myself with the product in hand, wondering what it was to get me there.
"A good advertisement is one which sells the product without drawing attention to itself"
- David Ogilvy
Most recently:
This took me by surprise, but when it I realized it, I whistled their tune!
I've gotten used to skipping packing a lunch before work at least once a week for the past 2 months, and once a week I end up there: in SUBWAY eating a "5, 5 dollar, 5 dollar footlooonnng" (Whistle)
I've been upsold, I've bought the better-bigger sandwich,I've brought friends, I've got the Sub card.
Mission accomplished Subway.
It reminds me not to forget about the beauty of sound in advertising, and how effective it can be.
It can be the most rediculous noise in the world, and sound really terrible.(ie. Rebecca Black's- Friday)
So simple, but so catchy-you might hate it, but.... A judo chop that breaks a brick is better than one that breaks you're hand, or something...
Wacha!
